Personal Background

Welcome! I am a German-American lover of education, yoga, poetry, music, football and planet Earth.

As a former athlete, football(soccer) took me from my home state of Virginia to Stevenage, England and Stetson University, Florida. From there, my worldview expanded thanks to my humanities professors. I became passionate about radical (getting to the root of the issue) political education, and fascinated with the ways in which race, gender, and class impact worldviews.

Over the past 12 years, I have been lucky to work with hundreds of young people across the U.S. public school system, from Washington, D.C. to California to promote emotional intelligence, academic & cultural literacy, and bodymind awareness.

However, without a cohesive spiritual framework to guide me, career burnout became inevitable.

Subsequent travels to India opened my heart and jolted my soul, and I developed a deep affinity and reverence for Indian yogic culture, in myriad ancient and modern forms. There, through the grace of Arunachala via Ananda Surya,  I learned of Joanna Macy’s Work that Reconnects, and that I was a part of a Great Turning, a global shift in consciousness, an eco-revolution, an emergent ripening of God as Goddess and change.

At a crossroads between material living and spiritual teaching, I embark on this new project in the name of brining a sense of sacredness into the every day. What is sacred to you?

Let us begin by diving into the heart.
